Navigating life with food allergies is challenging.  You need to be informed, understand risks, plan ahead, and clearly communicate your requirements for staying safe to the multitude of people you (or your loved one) interact with on a daily basis. You also need to be prepared for the unexpected with the ability to handle reaction emergencies in a safe and timely manner. Living in this day and age is a blessing and a curse -- a curse because of the surging prevalence of food allergies without a cure in sight (yet); a blessing because the digital economy has spurred innovation of practical tools to help the food allergic navigate life safely, with more confidence and less anxiety.  This session will provide an overview of website and app store-accessible tech resources, currently in-market, that can help people with food allergies stay safe while living life with a degree of 'normalcy' and an 'opt-in' mentality.
